To be seen
To be caught
To be attached
A destiny worth waiting for
But one too selfish, too simple to name
A different destiny revealed its self to me
On that winter night
Known paths took new light
My eyes caught a glimpse of that which I thought I knew
A wave of awakening crashed within me
My heart performed its first contraction
Squeezing crimson through my veins
And for the first time I sprang to life
I was spared the mercy of a waking death
Replaced by the chaos of a life worth living
Tired eyes now served as my north star
And slender hands my guard rails
The limits of the mind fail to contain the joy of my soul
For I have met you
And through it met myself
