Something worth saying
By Gustavo Adolfo Lugo Valencia
Three times it came to me
The thought that filled my heart with glee
Standing in that night so chill
I thought I’d never have the will
To voice what I held so close, so dear
A truth withheld by quiet fear
But drunken valor won the day
And out poured words I’d longed to say
My heart welcomed love from those pale blue eyes
Those happy words, your sweet replies
Life tasted sweet, that single night
With you, the darkness bloomed to light
